Elude

      Before start reading this story, we can inference from the title (Hills Like White

Elephants) that here there is something that no one wants. The relationship between the character seemed perfect because they have been travel together throughout Europe. They make a stop at Barcelona train station where their problem reach climax because he refuse to be father and try to persuade the girl to have an operation (abortion). the girlseemed to have a low self-esteem and the man used her emotional weakness to his advantage. He knew that she was in love with him and that she would do anything to satisfy him. He promises her love and happiness while discussing the abortion; in real life this happen a lot because people thinks their happiness depend in the person that dating at that time, and if that person walk way your happiness will do it?

     I read this story and notice that the massage that the author tries to communicate  that people avoid their responsibility and try to persuade other to do the same action. In the story the main character try to convince his girl to has an operation and say " it's the best thing to do 57". I recall one moment like that in my life, it was my second year at college in my country and my father told come to American is better to have a career in a Dominican Republic and I came to U.S. After 5 year I see my lack of experience by that time drive me for tough road because I thought this is the best thing do. However the girl for a moment hesitated because of her love for him but she realize that she has the last word about take decision of death and life.
